One night in Bangkok. Oriental city. A man travelled with three young ladies. Travelling around the country. Looking for wild times and adventures. They had booked a hotel in one of the tourist areas of the city. That was where they set up base camp. Big city, Bangkok is. It has a notorious reputation as a city of sin. Many things went bump in the night in such a place. More often than not they would go unnoticed, unchecked, as sin piled up upon sin. Creating a great heaving mass of degradation and problems in the world. There were hushed whispers all around. People talking in little back alleys. People whispering rumours and horrible things. A person can see something horrible in the little ghettos lined up among the poorer parts of town. And in those little ghettos, everybody minds their own business, not wanting to get involved in each other’s world of shit. A human being is prey and many an unscrupulous soul lives amongst the poorer parts of town.

The man had the duty of escorting the three young ladies. The three young ladies wanted to wreak havoc, wanted to dance the night away. With their short skirts. They would spin around in circles and a wind would gather underneath their skirts, the fabric would be lifted and just a hint of flesh of the thigh would be revealed.

The women looked up nightclubs in one of the tourist guidebooks. There was one nightclub that caught their eye in particular. It was called, ‘Lucifer’s Playground’. Was it the name that attracted them? Most definitely. Young girls often have a taste for pushing the limits in their youth, for, more often than not they know that they will have to settle down with a lump in their belly and give birth to the next generation.

The three girls in their bedroom looked at the book. The list of different nightclubs in the area. It was described as the creme de la creme of the city’s nightlife. Then, with index finger pointed to ‘Lucifer’s Playground’ and said, “Let’s go to this one.”

“Yes, let’s,” they all agreed.

The man of the group called a cab and asked the taxi driver to take them to their destination. The taxi driver spoke little English and there was some resistance in the translation of their destination. The taxi driver drove through the city. With night lights everywhere. Random Thai people letting off fireworks simply for the hell of it. Boredom is and boredom does. Boredom becomes you and random action takes place.

An argument began between the driver and the man of the group. There was confusion over the destination. The young ladies were perplexed. And when they were dropped off, they were dropped off in a nowhere destination.

It was near a ghetto. The ladies thought they had been dropped off in the vicinity of the nightclub and dressed in high heels and skirts, began walking through the ghetto. The man knew that the worst thing that they could do at this point is look lost. And so he spied a small diner up ahead. On ground level of the cubicles of flats. The flats with their laundry hung up outside to dry. The poor Thai people all coalescing and congregating in their routine habits. They sat down at the diner and ordered a round of beers.

One of the women decided to press the issue with the owner of the establishment asking, “Do you know where Lucifer’s Playground is?”

The man pressed his own fist to his face at the ignorance of the young woman. Simply whispering, “Don’t say that.”

They should have left. Should have shut up. But the three young women decided to press the issue. “Yeah, we’re looking for a nightclub. It’s called Lucifer’s Playground.”

The restaurant owner. The Thai man took a step back. He noticed that other people around them were all watching the foreigners. “Get out!” The Thai man pointed back to where they had come from. If they were smart they would have done what he said.

“No,” one of the women argued, “We want to know where Lucifer’s Playground is.”

It’s difficult to know how things escalated after that. Who was who and what exactly happened. But within five minutes the four of them were dragged to one of the surrounding back alleys. They were all raped. The man lost his anal virginity. Their bodies would be dumped in some nameless river, never to be found.
